Highly Qualified Teacher Courses

Normal Class

The above courses can be paced for either semesters or trimesters. They may be rearranged by module to fit your curriculum. If desired they may be taken by module as needed for credit recovery. A Michigan Highly Qualified Teacher teaches each class. The teacher will guide the student through the course, check and comment on assignments, record assignments in the online grade book, answer questions posed by the students, and assign the online tests and assessments as a student becomes ready for the test. The teacher will communicate with the mentor and parents from time to time regarding progress as well as approaching end dates for the class. CyberEd Specialists will provide training for mentors prior to students enrolling in the class and enroll the students into the class.

A Michigan Highly Qualified Teacher/Advisor will be available to assist the school provided mentor and/or teacher. The Advisor will be expected to give direction and assistance on using the online textbook, assigning test and quizzes, and answering subject matter questions. The primary responsibility of reporting progress and determining when a student is ready to take a test and move on is placed on the school provided mentor/teacher. CyberEd Specialists will provide training for mentors and teachers prior to students enrolling in the class and enroll the students into the class.

The sponsoring school is responsible for providing the Highly Qualified Teacher / Mentor for the class. The responsibility of CyberEd is to make the class, assignments, and assessments available to be managed by the sponsoring school provided personal. CyberEd Specialists will provide training for mentors and teachers prior to students enrolling in the class and enroll the students into the class.

Diagnostic Assessments - $45 – Administered by CyberEd Specialists with the primary goal being to determine modules of student competency.

End Of Course - Test Out - $45 – Administered by CyberEd Specialists with the primary goal being to determine student competency for credit (testing out of a class).
